Our Story

Rick & Tanya Orr opened The Butcher Shop in March of 1999. Rick had been a Butcher since 1991 and for Tanya the business was a whole new experience. Rick & Tanya, newly married and in their 20’s, poured their hearts and souls into building their business.

In 2014, Rick and Tanya received the Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year Award, and the Small Business Enterprise Centre's Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Over twenty years after opening, with the Orr family now including two children, they continue to pride themselves in creating a friendly, clean and full service experience.
